Durkin’s Liquor Bar: Reviews & Ratings

I recently experienced your burger for the first time, and I must commend its exceptional quality, particularly given its $30 price point. The burger itself was truly outstanding. My primary concern, however, lies with the accompanying fries. The base price of the burger is $22, which includes fries. Adding bacon increases the cost to $30. The portion of fries provided was notably small, akin to a child's serving. Given the substantial size of the burger, I would have anticipated a more generous and well-seasoned portion of fries to complement it. I was informed by a referral that the fries typically include cheese or a similar seasoning, but mine lacked significant seasoning and were quite small, not comparable to the size of an adult's finger. Regardless, the burger was spectacular. My only wish is that the fries were of a comparable standard. I will likely forgo adding bacon in the future if it incurs an additional $5 charge. Our bill for two burgers with added bacon totaled $60.34, which is quite expensive. I did also order my food To-go, so maybe this is why my fries weren't satisfactory!!

Best Burger in Town and Brussel Sprouts That Steal the Show! Durkin’s Liquor Bar nails it. Hands down, this is the best burger in town …juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with just the right char. Every bite feels like the kind of burger you’d crave again the next day. But let’s talk about the unexpected star: the Brussel sprouts. Crispy, caramelized, and packed with flavor, they might just be the best I’ve ever had. Whoever decided sprouts could be a showstopper deserves an award. Combine that with the laid-back atmosphere, great cocktails, and friendly service, and you’ve got a spot that checks all the boxes. Whether you’re here for a night out or just chasing the ultimate burger experience, Durkin’s delivers. If you haven’t been yet, trust me: order the burger, grab the sprouts, and thank me later.

This place was GREAT! I gave the food a 4 not because it was bad but they don’t offer proteins for their salads. And the salads still 14 bucks. It was a pretty good salad, but it was just lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and croutons. No Option to add any protein. The salad also was not particularly big either. Service was amazing my husband had the hamburger and I swear it was the best hamburger I’ve ever tasted! The environment was also great.

I moved away in 2018. Every single one of my friends where I live now knows about my obsession with the Durkins burger. There hasn't been a trip home that I haven't eaten at Durkins because it's that integral to my enjoyment of Spokane. The family that owns it is gold, the employees are all gold, the food is gold. Try the fried bologna sandwich too!

A friend of mine has recommended this place for years and I finally was in town to try—SO GLAD I DID! The Whenever, Wherever cocktail (charred pineapple and tequila!!!) could have been served in a bucket and I would’ve drunk it alllll. The fried cauliflower was so good I accidentally yelped—lemon zest was an appreciated touch. The staff are attentive and incredibly kind. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We came to try to beat burger in Spokane. I love the interior decor, it was very cozy. We started with the calamari , which was the best calamari we’ve ever had. They were made with pacific squid, and there was plenty of them in the dish. We love the fresh dill and parsley. There was just enough sauce to flavor the calamari. The Calabrian chilis were a nice little kick to the dish. We both ordered the burger along side with our beers, an amber ale, cream ale and the hazelnut . The beers were delicious. The burgers were spectacular. The homemade pickles added a nice crunch to the burger, the patties were tender and meaty. The cheese was very creamy. Exactly what I wanted in a cheeseburger. The server was kind and accommodating to all our sauce requests. I have tried Durkins during restaurant week and the food was delicious, and I’m glad we got to try them again.

CJ was our bartender and was great. Super effiencient and kind. Food was outstanding. The burger has been posted on a Facebook group "Food Finder Spokane" multiple times and I get the hype. The cheese melted all over that burger. Fries were also seasoned very well. Will come back!

This is one of my favorite little gems in the downtown Spokane scene! Been going here for 10 years now that I can remember. Whether you are dining upstairs, or down in the speakeasy feel basement secion. This place is in my top 3 places to patron. If I had a double burger, bologna or brussels anywhere else in this town it would pale in comparison to what you'd receive at this fine establishment. If you have the chance, pair anything on the menu with the finest old fashion crafted by Kyle. If hes there. Which hes been there every time I've ever been there. The fries are always anywho, go there is dare you!
